Manchester United Monday night recorded their biggest win in the era of Ralf Rangnick as coach of the club beating Brentford 3-0 at Old Trafford.

It was a brilliant first half for United when Portugal international, Bruno Fernandes opened the score line in the 9th minute making it his 50th goal for the club.

United continued with possession after the break as Cristiano Ronaldo was pushed in the 18 yard box by a Brentford player.

The 37-year-old masterfully sent goalkeeper Raya to the right as his shot headed to the left in the 61st minute making it 2-0 for the Reds.

United playing their last EPL game at Old Trafford added a consolation goal courtesy Rafael Verane in the 72nd minute.

The goal would have been four but waa disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Brentford on the other hand failed upturn their previous meeting with United in January they lost 1-3.

Monday’s win for United could offer a glimmer of hope for United to have a spot in the UEFA Champions League.
