Ex-Fidelity Bank director, Anthony Siyako, wins Gombe South PDP senatorial primaries

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe South on Monday elected a former director of Fidelity Bank, Mr Anthony Siyako, as its senatorial candidate for the 2023 election.
He scored 59 votes to beat his closest rival Binta Bello who polled 57 votes.

Neptune Prime reports that the primary election was held in Billiri local government area of the state.
This medium also reports that 10 aspirants contested for the seat under the party, all of who were present at the polling centre.
It was gathered that 124 delegates out of the 125 casted votes at the election.
Gombe South consists of Billiri, Kaltungo, Balanga and Shongom local government areas.
