Brazilian international, Vinicius Jr’s 59th minute goal handed Real Madrid their 14th trophy beating Liverpool 1-0 in a widely described epic final of the prestigious UEFA Champions League Saturday night at the Stade de France.
The game which ended 0-0 in the first half was revived nine minutes after the start of the second 45.

The 81,000 capacity stadium erupted nine minutes after the start of the second 45 when Vinicius Jr ghosts in behind Trent Alexander-Arnold and slots into an empty net from close range giving Madrid the lead.
The first half of the game which ended in a barren draw witnessed some threats from Liverpool with Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane in the early minutes giving though time for Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
Madrid had their fair chance to register a goal from Karim Benzema just before half time it was but ruled offside.
Saturday’s victory for the Blancos under Carlo Ancelotti saw them lifting the trophy for the 14th time.
