Billionaire Tahir Fadlallah laid to rest in Kano

The Kano-based Lebanese billionaire and businessman, Tahir Fadlallah, who died few days ago has been buried in Kano State. The burial prayer took place at the Emir of Kano’s Palace which was attended by thousands of Muslims.
He was the Chief Executive Officer of the famous Tahir Guest Palace, Tahir was admitted in Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut on April 15, 2020 and remained in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital until his death.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, has since confirmed the businessman’s demise in a Facebook post. “We have lost Tahir the owner of Tahir Guest Palace Kano, May Allah grant him Aljannah”, the spokesperson wrote on Friday morning.

Mr Fadlallah was flown from Kano to Beirut on April 23, 2020 after developing complications of Covid-19, the industrialist had been bedridden since he was flown to Beirut two years ago, family sources said.
He was born on February 5, 1948 in Beirut, Lebanon. Mr Fadlallah settled in Kano with his parents when he was two years old.
He left behind a wife and five children.
In May 2020, Mr Fadallah was honoured alongside 81 other notable individuals by Kano State Government for his contributions to the development of the state.
