BPE assesses Yola International Hotel for resuscitation

A four-man delegation from Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) Abuja has arrived Yola, the Adamawa state capital in respect of the resuscitation of the Yola International Hotel.

The delegation led by the Director for Infrastructure and Public Employment Partnership, Bureau for Public Enterprises, Mr Amaechi Adoke was in the state for an on the spot assessment of the two hundred rooms edifice.

Receiving the delegation, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adamawa state Investment and Public Company, Hajiya Rabi Ahmad, explained that it is a milestone achievement having the delegation in the state as this signals the beginning of good things to come.

She expressed hope and confidence at the readiness and professional proficiency of the intending experts that are going to be involved in the revitalisation work of the hotel by the BPE.

Hajiya Ahmed who extolled the BPE for not relenting in its oars at engaging in such productive venture, announced that work will soon commence in that regard.

Speaking, the leader of the delegation,
Mr Amaechi Adoke revealed that they were in the state on an assessment of the hotel with a view to reporting back to the Director of BPE in Abuja for necessary action.

Mr Adoke noted that the BPE is willing to partner with the state government through Adamawa state Investment and Public Company in executing the project.

According to him, the hotel has a viable structure for tourism and other beneficial explorable potentials, hence their resolve to engage in the partnership in order to ensure speedy resuscitation of the edifice.

He lamented that for over thirty years the building has been laying waste, which if managed well could have generated a huge revenue for the government, attracted tourists, and boosted social activities in the state.

The delegation leader promised to upon their return to Abuja acquaint the DG, BPE about the development so they could start work at once.
