Sequel to the endorsement of Senator Uba Sani as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Kaduna State Governorship election by Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, a prominent member of the party in the state, Honourable Sani Sha’aban, has kicked against the decision.

Honourable Sha’aban, an in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari who is also vying for the party’s governorship ticket at a press conference held recently in Kaduna said, endorsing a candidate by a single individual without the people participating is a denial of democratic rights to other candidates, hence primaries should be conducted to give members of the party the opportunity to elect their candidates.

The honourable giving his position on the development added that as one of the pioneer members of the defunct All Peoples Party in the state (APP) which is now the APC, courtesy demands that whatever will happen in the party in the state he should be informed and carried along.

“This did not happen all I saw was a press conference by the governor’s team announcing that they have adopted Senator Uba Sani as APC sole candidate in Kaduna, this will not happen we must go for primaries, so that the voters will be given the choice to choose who will be their governor,” the honourable said in a video obtained by Neptune Prime.

He is therefore calling on his supporters to know that he is still very much in the race.
