Saturday night’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) final which Real Madrid won after beating Liverpool 1-0 made Carlo Ancelotti the most successful manager in the history of the competition.

Ancelotti started his UCL journey with AC Milan winning it twice in 2002/03 and 2006/07 seasons also with Madrid – 2013/14 and 2021/22 seasons.
His football career oozes with the UCL trophy because while as a player with Milan he won it twice.
The 62-year-old Italian came tops ahead of late Bob Paisley who led Liverpool as manager to three finals of the competition in 1966/77, 1977/78 and 1980/81 seasons claiming the trophy for the Reds.
Zinedine Zidane trails Ancelotti with three wins while at Madrid between 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons.
Ancelotti is the only one to win the title in all top 5 leagues in Europe.
