Real Madrid have edged out Manchester City in a 3-1 victory (6-5 on aggregate) after playing 120 minutes in the UEFA Champions League semi-final at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid, the Spanish capital, Wednesday night.
Both teams played a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes with City taking the lead 4-3 on aggregate.

The tempo of the game was increased after the break in which City opened the score line courtesy of Riyad Mahrez in the 73rd minute.
Carlo Ancelotti’s boys were not deterred by the goal deficit on them in front of their home crowd and that determination paid off in the 90th minute as they scored twice within two minutes by the 21-year-old Brazilian substitute, Rodrygo Silva de Goes, leveling the game 3-1 (5-5 on aggregate).
The game got more intense and from all indications, Pep Guardiola’s boys seem have run out of ideas as Karim Benzema goes down following a challenge from Ruben Dias and the referee signalled for penalty that’s another Panenka.
Benzema makes no mistake, slotting into the corner as Ederson dives the wrong way at the Bernabeu 5-3 down to 6-5 ahead in the most astonishing of circumstances.
Madrid will face Liverpool on May 28 in Paris for final.
