AS Roma head coach, Jose Mourinho, came into the limelight shortly after leading FC Porto to their second UEFA Champions League victory in 2004 after more than a decade from their first continental glory in 1987.
The 59-year-old Portuguese international built on his achievement at FC Porto when he was brought to Chelsea in 2004 by the Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich.

Mourinho who nicknamed himself ‘The Special One’ led Chelsea to their first English Premier League (EPL) title in 2005 after 50 years without one.
He didn’t stop there, the same feat was repeated the following season including the FA Cup and the League Cup (Carabao Cup) from 2005 to 2007.
Mourinho with his specialty repeated the titles for Chelsea in the 2014/15 season during his second spell at the Stamford Bridge except the FA Cup.
Since he left the club in 2015, it has been success upon success for the Blues – the recent was the UCL victory last year beating Manchester City in the final.
It is pertinent to note that Mourinho has never spent a season without a silverware after nearly two decades of his coaching career.
Prior to his second return to England, while at Inter Milan in 2009/10 season he led the club to their first UCL trophy.
Although, while at Real Madrid he managed to secure the Spanish Super Cup, Spanish Cup and the Spanish La Liga from 2010 to 2013 seasons.
With these achievements, clubs like Manchester United who were trophy-less for almost four years came calling for ‘The Special One’.
Mourinho secured United’s first silverware – Europa League in 2017 and the Carabao Cup since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
Jose Mourinho recently guided Roma to triumph at the maiden edition of the UEFA Conference League.
Roma has never won any European title in their history. One season with Jose Mourinho and the Italian Serie A club became a European success.
