The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has condemned the killing of about 56 people in Dauri, Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State by bandits.

Bello said KACRAN had to make the call because it is not ideal for people taking revenge against each other and taking law into their hands.
“It is neither rationale nor ideal to take revenge against people who are not the actual ones that attack you in the initial stage.
“And even if they are the ones, what they ought to do is to report them to legal authorities who have the constitutional backing to arrest the culprits and bring them to book.
“Their retaliatory attack in the villages and towns for whatever reason, is uncalled for and a crime against humanity.
“They should know that two wrongs will never make a right and so their attacks on innocent people is making the gravity of their offence more grievous than that of the volunteer groups.
“We are strongly warning them to run away from criminality. We advise them to be law abiding citizens and give our security authorities maximum support and cooperation by reporting any person or group of people that they come to understand are commiting or breaking Nigeria’s law and order.
“At the same time, we call on volunteer groups who are mainly responsible for the bandit’s reprisals to stop attacking, stealing livestock and killing innocent people in the name of protecting their communities.
“KACRAN also commends Zamfara State Government for cautioning volunteer groups in the state, who were described as mischievous or trouble makers to stop attacking innocent Nigerians whose attacks always result to harsh bandits attack in some villages and local towns where innocent people mainly old, women and children are mostly victims.
The statement further appealed to the Federal Government, as a matter of utmost importance to establish appeal funds to help mitigate losses experience by victims of attacks.
“The foundation that we hope to be placed under the supervision or able leadership of trustworthy Nigerian philanthropists who will judiciously and transparently manage the foundations by providing empowerment, relief materials and other social services to the affected people by the heinous activities of the volunteer groups and bandits in the said areas.
“We give this humble advise, after thoroughly assessing the vital role the North East Development Commission is vigorously playing in the North East region, through building houses, providing relief materials/palliative and Youth empowerment that is yielding a positive result by drastically reducing the issue of insecurity in the North East region.
The statement condone with the families and victims of the incident and appreciate the state government for their efforts in keeping citizens safe.
”We also commend the former governor of the state His Excelency Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) who is continuously making great sacrifices by rendering numerous assistances to our beloved brothers of Zamfara State. May Almighty Allah help and reward them abundantly.” He added.
