Kano Explosion: DSS arrest 2 Boko Haram members, recover suicide vests, explosive devices
Nigerian Security Operatives said they have arrested two Boko Haram suspects in connection with an explosion at the Sabongari area of Kano State.
The arrest comes days after Police operatives in Kano State tagged the incident that led to the death of at least nine people and injured several primary school pupils as an unfortunate gas explosion and not bomb blast as speculated by residents.
However, the Department of State Services (DSS) disclosed that two Boko Haram members have been arrested as the main suspects in the explosion, which is a bomb blast and not a gas accident.

“Items recovered include 4 AK-47 rifles, 2 Pistols, Suicide Vests & several IED making materials.
“This latest development supports eyewitness accounts that the explosion was a suicide bomb attack.
