Liverpool show supremacy over Villarreal, qualify for UCL final

Liverpool Football Club has qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League after beating Villarreal 3-2 (5-2 on aggregate) Tuesday night at the El Madrigal Stadium.

The much anticipated encounter between both teams was electrifying as the hosts recorded their first goal in the 3rd minute courtesy Boulaye Dia (16).

Villarreal seems to be in control of the first half coupled with huge support from the home crowd which resulted to another goal in the 41st minute from Francis Coquelin who headed the ball into the net.

The intensity increased after the break and in the 62nd minute Fabinho reduced the tally making 2-1.

Much effort were seen from the Jurgen Klopp’s boys which paid for them Luiz Diaz and Sadio Mane sealed the victory for the Reds in Spain booking their second UCL final under the German coach.

Liverpool will know their opponent on Wednesday night after another crucial encounter between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
