Yobe NUJ chapter commiserates with victims of Damaturu rainstorm

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State Council, has commiserated with the victims of the recent rainstorm in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, and their families.
The chapter in a statement said It was a natural disaster from the almighty Allah and prayed for the repose of the departed souls.
“We commend His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State Honourable Mai Mala Buni for supporting the victims through the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr Mohammed Goje.

“We pray God to continue protecting the good citizens of the state while calling on residents to imbibe the culture of planting more trees to break the forces of windstorm,” the statement reads in part.
