In a bid to mark this year’s World Environment Day, an environmental friendly initiative, a member of Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development (CSCSD) led the National youth Service Corps (NYSC), Nigeria Global Shapers and Nigeria climate reality leaders in launching the School Climate Clubs across Nigeria.
Marking this year’s celebration with the theme ‘Only One Earth’, the goal of the initiative is to mobilise, engage and empower school communities (learners and teacher) in implementing the School Climate Clubs because they believe in power of schools to change the world.
According to a press statement made available to Neptune Prime, “The theme of this year’s World Environment Day ‘Only one earth’ calls for global, collective, transformative action to celebrate, protect and restore our planet.
“Environmental Friendly Initiative in launching the School Climate Clubs, calls on stakeholders and well meaning citizens to support this initiative for visibility and impact”.
