Neptune Prime reports earlier that the northern APC governors shortlisted five candidates from the south they would support including the likes of Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi and Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State.

It is believed that the decision by Akpabio and the other five candidates will place Tinubu in a favourable position of emerging the standard bearer of the party in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
