Sanni Uwaiti and Rahmatu Tukur are the two kidnapped victims reportedly rescued by local hunters in the Okehi Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State on Monday.
The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Okehi LGA, King Habeeb, in a statement revealed that the victims were rescued after the hunters, who acted on intelligence from men of the Okehi LGA Joint Task Force (JTF), engaged in an exchange of gunfire that claimed the lives of two GUNMEN believed to be the Kidnappers during the operation at Upogoro Hill, according to THE PUNCH.

He said, “The gang had been terrorising people using the Okene-Lokoja Road and Okene-Auchi Road in Kogi State before being nabbed.
“One of the kidnappers was shot dead during an exchange of gunshots, while one was apprehended who later gave up before arriving in a hospital.
“The hunters also rescued two victims from the kidnappers, namely Mallam Sanni Uwaiti, and Ramatu Tukur, both of the Tollgate area, along Okene and Ajaokuta axis.”
The Chairman, Okehi LGA, Ohiare, said his administration would continue to combat criminality in the council.
