Okorocha beats deadline, appears for APC Presidential screening

Senator Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday night showed up at Transcorp Hilton Abuja, venue of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential screening to participate as one of the aspirants.
Having been arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last week Tuesday, the embattled senator almost missed the two-day exercise.

On Tuesday morning, however, a Federal High Court in Abuja granted him bail in the amount of N500 million, with a guarantee in the same amount.

After his screening, Okorocha thanked his supporters for standing by him and insisted that Nigeria needs a detribalised leader like him to pilot the affairs of the nation.
On his EFCC case, he promised to address the media in the coming days.
Senator Okorocha is contesting against the likes of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, former Lagos State Governor, Ahmed Tinubu and the ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to win the primary contest.
