Troops rescue abducted Chibok schoolgirl with child in Borno

Another Chibok schoolgirl abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in Chibok local government area of Borno State has been rescued by troops of the Nigerian Military.

The Army headquarters announced via its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning that troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade rescued a lady identified as Mary Ngoshe together with her baby.

Nigerian Army said the lady is suspected to be one of the young girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.

The troops according to the tweet were carrying out a patrol around Ngoshe in Borno when they intercepted the lady and her son.

“Troops of 26 Task Force Brigade on patrol around Ngoshe in Borno State on 14 June 2022 intercepted one Mary Ngoshe and her son. She is believed to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok abducted in 2014. Further interrogation ongoing.”

Boko Haram terrorists attacked the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok in Borno State on 14th April 2014 and abducted 276 female students between the ages of 16 and 18.
