She was on her way to the state orientation camp in Sagamu for the three weeks mandatory orientation course.

Her death was made known following a post on Facebook by her secondary school friend, Goci King (Facebook name).

According to the post, late Chioma left the house on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 and was declared missing but it was later discovered that she was kidnapped and killed.

The post read, “Today is exactly a year that I lost my close friend and coursemate, Ezuruike Coleman who lost his life in a fatal accident on his way to NYSC camp. Today again, as I just log on to this blue app, I saw a news concerning the death of my secondary school classmate on chijioke’s wall.

“Igweike Chioma was said to have been kidnapped and killed on her way to NYSC camp. She left the house on 20-07-2022 and was declared missing just to find out she was kidnapped and killed. This is a girl that always stop me each time she saw me just to know my welfare. She would be like “Nna nda, imelagi, James nwannegi kwanu”. I saw her few days ago and we exchanged pleasantry as usual. I didn’t know that is the last day of seeing her.

“Since there’s no way to aid a smooth journey to our various place of assignment, FG should scrap NYSC out. This govt has indeed failed us.

“I can’t believe I’ve lost another friend on July again ????, I can’t even type RIP again. Eunice Chioma Igweike should live nah????, why would she be the one nah???.”

It was gathered that she was later found dead with vital parts of her body missing.
