Auto crash claims 30 lives on Kano/Zaria road

On Thursday, 30 people died in a ghastly motor accident and twelve sustained serious injuries on the Kano/Zaria road.
In a chat with Freedom Radio, monitored by Neptune Prime, the Sector Commander FRSC Zaria Zone, Assistant Corps Commander (ACC) Abdulrahman Yakassai, disclosed that the accident took place near Tashan Musa in Makarfi local government, Kaduna State.

He said: “The vehicles involved in the accident include a Hummer bus carrying 18 passengers, a Volkswagen salon and another vehicle burnt to ashes beyond recognition.
“The accident occurred when the vehicles all in full speed tried to overtake each other. In a reckless driving, they are yet to get particulars of the vehicle because they were burnt to ashes.
“Bodies of the victims have since been deposited at ABU Teaching hospital Zaria”, ACC Abdulrahman added.
