How policeman was killed, Chinese national abducted in Kwara
Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday killed one mobile police officer and abducted a Chinese citizen at a quarry site in the Shao area of Moro Local Government of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred 15 kilometres away from Ilorin in the Shao area along Jebba road.
The gunmen who came in military fatigue in a golf car with no plate number, killed the policeman along the major road, some few metres away from the yard.
It was gathered that he took cover under a truck, but they shot his hand first and seeing he is down, they came out from the golf and fired him several times spraying his body with bullets and ran to the bush.

Reports indicate that the gunmen burnt the car allegedly used in the operation and disappeared into thin air so as to erase any available evidence.
One other police operative reportedly injured in the attack is said to be receiving medical attention at an undisclosed location.
When contacted, the spokesman of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said: ”The command is working round the clock to get the victim rescued and perpetrators apprehended.”
“Meanwhile, the command is in a mourning mood over the killing of one of our operatives,” he added.
According to the spokesman, the Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, has set up a special investigation team to investigate the matter.
He said: “The people of Kwara State would be briefed accordingly of our progress please”.
