In a bid to rid Ekiti State of Kidnappings and other criminal activities, the state police command have arrested three suspected kidnappers terrorising part of the state.
The arrest was carried out by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

In a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Sunday Abutu, the RRS operatives in collaboration with men of the vigilante group, nabbed the suspected kidnappers inside a deep forest in Ijan Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
The arrested kidnappers are: 38 years old Musa, 25 years old Ali, and 19 years old Suleiman.
Abutu stated, “As part of the deliberate efforts of the Command to rid the state of kidnappers and other criminal elements, the operatives of the RRS, in collaboration with vigilantes, trailed and arrested three suspected kidnappers inside a deep forest in Ijan-Ekiti.
“The arrested suspects, during interrogation, confessed to have been engaged in series of kidnapping operations in the state including two kidnapping incidents in Ikere Ekiti.
“The suspects further disclosed their syndicate comprises seven men with four others currently at large.
“Effort is ongoing for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects,” the police spokesperson said.
