Police nab drug dealer in Jigawa

The Auyo Squad Detached Units of the Jigawa State Police Command headed by Inspector Rayyanu Ashahabu says it has arrested a suspected notorious drug dealer in Jigawa State, while on intelligence duty.
The arrest was made during an intense patrol on criminal hideouts in Auyo by the combined team of police detectives in the area in compliance with the Commissioner’s order that constant surveillance is intensified in almost all the 27 councils in the state.

The suspect was successfully arrested on his way to criminal hideouts/black spots.
During the raid, two hundred and sixty-five (265) rubs of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, eighty-nine (89) pieces of intoxicated D5_ Diazepam drugs, sixty-two (62) BZ drugs, twelve (12) Rizlar papers and one scissor were found from him as exhibits.
In the course of interrogations, the suspect made a confessional statement that he obtained the same from his co_supplier, one Sule Mai Kunne of Adaha Village in the Auyo LGA, now at large.
Effort is on top gear to trail his accomplices.
The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
Police in Jigawa state has assured members of the public that rigorous patrols and raids on criminal hideouts and black spots will be sustained across the 27 LGAs in the state.
In a statement issued and signed by the Command Spokesman, DSP Lawal Shi’isu, the constant patrol was part of the directives issued by the state commissioner of police, M.I Tafida in making the state a crime-free state.
