Popular Kannywood director, Nura Waye, is dead

One of Kannywood’s popular directors, Malam Nura Mustapha Waye, is dead.
The movie director and producer who transformed the Hausa film, “Izzarso” into a very popular television programme in the north, died Sunday in Kano State and has been buried immediately according to Muslim rite.

“Izzarso” is the production of Bakori Television owned by Lawan Ahmad and a group of friends in Kano, the director’s burial was witnessed by many movie directors, actors and actresses and stakeholders in the industry.
