The Banyana Banyanas and the Copper Queens of Zambia played a barren draw in the full 90 minutes of the game but luck ran out of the Zambians after a silly defensive error bringing down number 10 Linda Maserame Motlhalo in the 18 yards.

Motlhalo wasted no time with a powerful shot which the Zambian goalkeeper was unable to stop, paving way to the finals for the South Africans.

Both teams did manage to keep the goals at bay due to their coordination in the midfield as well as the defence.

South Africa awaits the outcome between hosts Morocco and the Super Falcons of Nigeria later tonight.
