Unknown gunmen abduct Naval Officer in Kogi

An Officer with the Naval Headquarters Abuja, Musa Lawal, has been kidnapped Monday night by unknown gunmen in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to eyewitness, he was kidnapped in his residence, behind Post Flood Housing Estate, Lokoja at about 8 pm after the assailants destroyed his doors and windows.
Sources close to the family said the Naval staff was to depart for his station Tuesday morning before the unfortunate incidence.
It was gathered that an hour after the incident, the kidnappers called and demanded the sum of N3 million naira.
The wife of the kidnapped Naval Officer, Juliana Musa, who narrated her ordeal, said he was injured on one of his hands and taken away while still bleeding.
Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Williams Ayah, when contacted said the command is working with other security agencies to rescue the kidnapped officer.
