Not more than three people were reportedly killed and six others kidnapped following an attack in Juoro Manu village in the Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State on Sunday by armed men.
The attackers came on motorcycles at about 2:00pm on Sunday and started shooting anyone at sight, according to reports.

Umar Saidu and Abdullahi Mohammed who are residents in the area said during the attack people were fleeing the communities around the area for fear of being killed or kidnapped, according to The Punch.
Confirming the attack, Gambo Bajabu Kwache, the acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Taraba State command, on Monday said the police were already on top of the situation.
“We are on top of the situation. We have made a deployment to the area to track down the attackers,” she said.
The immediate past chairman of Gassol local government, Honourable Musa Chul, had last year raised the alarm over the regrouping of terrorists in forests around the council area.
