Insecurity now a global problem – Kogi Governor’s aide
Honourable Ahmed Bolori, Special Adviser (SA) to Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello on Public Relations, said that insecurity has now become a global problem.
The SA said this Tuesday when he paid a courtesy visit to Dr Hassan Gimba Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Publisher of Neptune Prime at his head office in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
He observed that the growing population, economic issues like inflation and many other factors have contributed to the deterioration of security globally and Nigeria is no exception.

Speaking on the security situation in Kogi State and how the Governor is tackling it, Bolori said the state’s case is peculiar because it has borders with 10 states including the Federal Capital Territory, therefore it is expected that it would be prone to insecurity challenges.
He, therefore, disclosed that because of Governor Bello’s commitment to tackling the menace, he has been able to bring together the traditional institution, national security organisations comprising the Police, Army, Airforce and paramilitary agencies as well as the citizens to form a strong partnership and commitments to make Kogi a safe state.
“I can stand anywhere to beat my chest to say that Kogi is the safest state in Nigeria right now, all the over 29,000 square metres of Kogi is very much secured compared to other places in Nigeria and this has to do with the efforts of His Excellency in ensuring that there is a good partnership among stakeholders because if stakeholders don’t come together, all these problems cannot be solved,” the SA said.
Honourable Bolori said the Governor has done so well, not only in the security aspect but also in engaging people, especially the youths in the huge economic growth and drive going on in the state to avoid idleness.
He stated that even during the COVID-19 lockdown, the state had investments worth millions of dollars coming into it and many other things that kept the people busy.
