Residents in Bajoga, a town in Funakaye Local Government Areas (LGAs) Gombe State, witnessed a first hand experience of flood following a heavy downpour in the areas on Friday.

As seen in the videos sent to Neptune Prime, the flood which was a little bit below the knee swept across the streets and roads in the affected areas.
This is coming after the director-general, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Mustapha Ahmed, on Tuesday at a national consultative workshop on 2022 Flood Preparedness, Mitigation and Response in Abuja identified 233 LGAs in 32 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that would experience flooding in this year.
States expected to witness high flood in 2022 include Adamawa, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Ekiti and Edo.
Others are: Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara and the FCT.
