Kano film regulator declares actress, Safiya Yusuf, boyfriend wanted as she speaks on leaked video

Kano State films and Censorship Board has declared Safiya Yusuf alias Safara’u Kwana Casa’in and her boyfriend, 442, wanted.
At the time of filing this report, Neptune Prime learnt that the two artists have since left Kano and are hiding in Lagos, in fact, Safara’u has received an invitation to visit America on the ticket of some entertainment companies.
Safiya Yusuf was an actress with the popular Kwana Casa’in being aired by Arewa 24, she was doing quite good before her naked video appeared on social media, and she quickly took cover while the organization also expelled her. She later started writing songs and took to dancing, alongside 442 who is also a singer and hip-hop dancer.

When the Kano State Government through the office of executive director films and Censorship Board Na’Abba Afakallah declared her wanted, she went underground only to grant an interview to BBC Hausa Service in Kano yesterday where she talked at length about her life, and also denied that she is not a lesbian, neither is she a prostitute, below is the excerpts of the interview.
Question: How did your naked pictures appear on social media, is it true that you are a lesbian?
Safara’u: Long laughter, I am not a lesbian, neither am I a prostitute, about 75% of young ladies have their naked pictures on their phone which they watch from time to time, so I have videos on my phone. But because I am careless with my phone, I use to allow my friends to use it, I am sure that is how they released my naked pictures to social media to disgrace me.
Question: Tell us your story?
Safara’u: My father is from Adamawa State, Yola, and my mother is from Borno State. I did my nursery, primary and secondary in Ibadan, my father is a soldier, so he came to Kano on posting, then when I was to start dancing and singing, both my father and mother approved of it and even encouraged me to do it, as for 442, I have known him for 3 years now and most of my videos, musical videos, I do it alongside men because I am used to them more than even women. Let me also tell you that my former director Hassan Giggs was the one that called me one day and said I should send him my WhatsApp number, he said he want me to see something, and he sent me the leaked video which was already on the social media, I collapsed on the spot and when I reached home, I took three months without coming out because some people even started stoning me, but my mother asked me to put what happened behind me and continue with my life. That is how I overcome that shame.
Question: Will you continue acting?
Safara’u: I have never stopped acting because even as a hip-hop dancer and singer, I am still very much part of Kannywood, I will continue with my chosen profession,
Question: Is it true that you and 442 are on the run?
Safara’u: You see, most of our hip-hop video we shut them outside Kano and the powers of Kano State films and Censorship Board covers only Kano State, so we are outside Kano and nobody can arrest us, some people were alleging that my naked video leaked may be in the course of my lesbian activities that I sent to a female lover or that I sent it to my boyfriend, all these are not true, I already stated above how it leaked, about marriage, I am a lady, of course, I will get married one day, but right now, I am busy pursuing my career, you asked whether I will allow my children to watch my videos, well, entertainment videos, yes, but the one that leaked when I was naked, I definitely will not allow them to see it.
