Police arrest 38 criminal suspects in Adamawa

The Adamawa Police Command has arrested 38 suspects for perpetrating various criminal activities in the state.
Commissioner of Police Sikiru Akande disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing newsmen on the success recorded by the command to erase criminal activities in the state.
He said the suspects were apprehended in Fufore, Yola North, and Girei Local Government Areas of the state in connection to kidnapping activities, armed robbery, rape, culpable homicide, and Shila activities among others.

Akande said that some of the exhibits recovered from the suspects include: AK47 Riffle, one magazine, seven live ammunition, one locally fabricated pistol, one burnt tricycle, three sets of laptops, and eight mobile phones among others.
According to him, the success recorded is the result of support from the government and good people of the state, he urged people to provide the police with useful information to ensure peace and security in the state.
He further assured that all the suspects would be diligently prosecuted on completion of investigation.
In another development, CP Akande decorated 11 newly promoted senior police officers serving in the command.
