Anambra varsity student allegedly kills his father and mother
An undergraduate of a university in Anambra State whose name is yet to be ascertained has allegedly killed his father and mother.
According to a source, the incident which happened in the industrial town of Nnewi was discovered by neighbours who started perceiving an offensive smell, before discovering the bodies of the man and his wife, who were said to have been killed by their only son.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said in a statement on Friday that the state command has launched a manhunt for the man.

He said: “The Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng while describing the discovery of the already decomposing dead bodies in an apartment in Nnewi on 22/9/2022 at about 5:20 pm with machete cuts, as an act of man’s inhumanity to man has ordered immediate manhunt of the suspect. He further directs the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for discreet investigation.”
Meanwhile, the decomposing bodies have been recovered and deposited in the morgue.
