Gov. Buni bags national honour of nation-building, state dev’t
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has been conferred with the National honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in recognition of his contribution to the development of Yobe State and Nigeria in general.
The award letter was signed by the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume.
According to the DG, of Press and Media Affairs to Yobe State Governor, Mamman Mohammed, the letter congratulated Gov. Buni for the honour and recognition.
The letter reads “I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) has approved the conferment of the National Honours on you in the rank of CON (Commander of the Order of the Niger)”.
“The award is in recognition of his immense contributions to state and nation-building. This award has no doubt justified the development efforts of his Excellency in improving the lives of the people of Yobe State and contributing to the development of democracy in Nigeria.
Governor Buni dedicated the national award to the good people of Yobe State and said the honour will encourage his administration to continue with the good works to improve the lives of the people.
