Adamawa police inaugurate crime-fighting strategies for smooth campaigns, electoral process

The Adamawa State Police Command has designed crime-fighting strategies in preparation for the 2023 general election.

Ajina Musbahu, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of operations, stated this at a news briefing on Tuesday in Yola.

He said the strategies will ensure public safety, and order in addition to a smooth electoral process.

Musbahu charged all officers to beef up security towards guaranteeing a crime-free environment for political campaigns and other electoral processes.

He further said that during the month under review, the command arrested 45 suspected criminals for alleged kidnapping, culpable homicide, and other violent crimes in some parts of the state.

The DCP said the exhibits recovered from the suspects include; cash of N900, 000, one vehicle, two locally made guns, one pistol, eight live ammunition, a den gun, six handsets, and other dangerous weapons.

According to him, all the suspects will be diligently prosecuted immediately after investigation.

He appreciated the state government and the good people of the state for their contributions to ensuring the security of lives and property.

Musbahu assured that police will not relent in its efforts to protect the lives and property of citizens in the state.
