A court in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Wednesday has granted bail to Professor Zainab Duke-Abiola, in the case of assault on a police officer.

The bail was on the condition that the defendant must present a surety that must be in Abuja, be of the rank of a director, and must own a property in Abuja.
The defendant is expected to visit the Police every Monday, till November 1, 2022.
Neptune Prime reports that the professor who doubles as a human rights activist was arrested by the security operatives after she ordered her domestic staff to beat her orderly, Inspector Teju Moses following her refusal to carry out domestic chores – an activity outside the confine of her duty as a police officer.
The physical assault on Inspector Moses made her sustained injury on her face.
