Football stars who are siblings playing for different countries

Parental migration is a thing of concern for some football stars whose parents are not from the same country.

Footballers stars, especially those of African decent playing in Europe find it difficult to decide which country to play for, either for the country of residence or origin with respect to when their parents are not from the same country.

For example, we’ve seen cases of footballers pledging not to play for other clubs despite the lucrative offers given to them.

The same can be said of siblings who came from the same blood line but choose to represent different nationalities in terms of international football.

Though, reasons for the different choices are not most times known to the public, the decision usually have positive as well as negative impacts on such players’ club careers as well.

However, concerning this, there are four siblings to represent different countries for international football.

Taulant chose to play for Albania while his brother currently playing for Arsenal decided to play for Switzerland.

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Jerome Boateng

The former Bayern Munich defender, Jerome opted to play for Germany while his brother chose the African country, Ghana.

Rafinha and Thiago Alcantara

Thiago chose to represent Spain in international football while his brother Rafinha choose Brazil.

Paul Pogba, Florentin and Mathias Pogba

Paul Pogba has been known to be representing the French Les Blues in international level while his two brothers both are representing Guinea.

Inaki Williams and Nico Williams

Inaki chose to represent Ghana while his brother Nico chose Spain.
