Again gunmen attack Plateau community, kill 9 family members, others
At least 18 persons have been reported killed including nine(9) family members, after gunmen attacked the Maikatako Community, in Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, on Tuesday night.
A resident of the community, Mahanan Job, told journalists that 18 dead bodies had been recovered during a search and rescue operation conducted by community members on Wednesday.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, who confirmed the incident, said men of the command had been deployed to the community to ensure calm.
“Our men are currently going after the assailants; we are on top of the situation, but the details of the attack are still sketchy”, he said.
