Fadah, shortest serving NYSC DG, sacked after 6 months
Brigadier-General Muhammad Kukah Fadah has become the shortest serving Director-General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as he was sacked Thursday by President Muhammadu Buhari after six (6) months in office.
Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare, whose office supervises the NYSC, confirmed Fadah’s sack to newsmen on Friday.
Sources said Fadah’s dismissal was because he ‘exhibited glaring incompetence’ in the six months he has piloted the affairs of NYSC.
Reports gathered that Fadah has been ordered to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the NYSC to head it in the interim pending the appointment of a substantive DG by President Buhari.
Fadah assumed office as NYSC DG in May 2022. He replaced Major General Shu’aibu Ibrahim.
