The star studded England squad subdued the Iranian team in a 6-2 encounter in the Group B opener at the ongoing FIFA World Cup at Khalifa International Stadium Monday afternoon.

England recorded their first goal of the tournament in the 35th minute courtesy Borussia Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham.
They doubled eight minutes later after Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka scored his first World Cup for England.
England compounded the situation for Iran amid the hot scorching sun to make it 3-0 before half-time from Raheem Sterling.
Saka added another goal thirteen minutes after the break but the Iranians reduced the tally as Mehdi Taremi found the back of the net in the 65th to make it 4-1.
England continued to feast on goals on the Iranians as Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford extended the lead in the 71st to make it 5-1.
The Garry Southgate boys completely overwhelmed the Iran as the cheering spectators were thrilled with more goals after Manchester City’s Jack Grealish added another goal before Taremi reduced the tally to 6-2 via a penalty.
