Media aide of Senate President, Lawan, dies

The death has occurred of Muhammad Isa, a veteran journalist and Special Assistant (SA), media to senate president Ahmed Lawal. He reportedly died of an internal injury sustained last week in an accident he had on his way to Minna, Niger State.

Late Muhammad was in Minna to condole with the family of his close friend, Danladi Ndayebo, former commissioner for information, Niger State who died recently.

He was an experienced journalist having worked as a reporter at the rested Democrat Newspapers, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), and People’s Daily before he was appointed Senior Special Assistant on print media to former Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, he subsequently served as special assistant on Public Affairs to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Muhammad was a strong pillar of the Armani Family in Funtua, Katsina State and has been buried in Funtua town Saturday, by 2:30 pm.

The late journalist was a junior brother to the late Muazu Funtua, Samala Isa Funtua, the late Chairman of Bullet Construction Company who built the Federal Secretariat, Abuja and died recently as one of the power brokers in Buhari’s administration.

Muhammad was a colleague to the late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.
