Ugandan Ghetto Kids overwhelmed as they perform at Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony (Videos)
The Ghetto Kids (or Triplets Ghetto Kids) are over the moon after being given an all-expense paid trip to Qatar ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is just about to kick off.
The Ghetto Kids which is a dance group founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma is composed of children from the Katwe slum in Kampala, Uganda.
The Ugandan dancing sensations who had a dream to perform at the Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony decided to get creative by posting a brief dance video clip about the 2022 Qatar World Cup on their social media pages, an act which paid off and now they are ripping the dividends of their hard work.
The group which received an expense-paid trip to Qatar in advance of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Finals couldn’t contain their excitement as they shared the video of their performance in Qatar on their official Instagram page last night and captioned it: “Wow! its Was An amazing Night Performing Before the Royal Family, the FIFA President and different Ministers Of Qatar. Thank You @ga4good & @visitqatar for making this Happen! Uganda to the World ??❤️?”.
Triplets Ghetto Kids have now become the first ever Ugandan children’s dance group to perform at the World Cup Opening Ceremony.
The Ghetto Kids have had dance collaborations for the video of Sitya Loss by Eddy Kenzo in 2014, Jambole by Eddy Kenzo in 2015 and they were featured in the music video for popular Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana’s single “Unforgettable” in 2017 which began their success in the United States.
