Morocco started off unnoticed in the early stages of the tournament but all eyes began to shift to the North African country who have conceded just one goal after five matches went on to beat Belgium 2-0 stunning former champions Spain in a dramatic 3-0 penalty shootout to claim victory.

Morocco were able to sustain the lead for more than one hour of action on the pitch.

Portugal did made efforts to salvage the situation but the Moroccans display at the Al Thumama Stadium was more superior than the Portuguese.

Saturday’s victory for the Moroccans over Portugal will be their second after the 1986 tournament where they defeated the European country 3-1.

Morocco will face the winner between France and England next week.
