N-Power graduates 400 beneficiaries in North East

No fewer than 400 beneficiaries of the N-Power non-graduate category in the North East have graduated from three months of training offered by the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP).
Speaking at the ceremony in Yola, Professor Umar Bindir, N-SIP’s National Coordinator, congratulated the beneficiaries for being among those who participated in the three months training.
He said the programme is the initiative and innovation of President Muhammadu Buhari to see that youths, women, and persons with disabilities acquire skills that will make them self-reliant and employers of labour.
Bindir advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the starter packs given to them and not to sell them out.
Adamawa State N-SIP’s Focal Person, Mrs Mery Yuwadi, revealed that the beneficiaries were trained for three months on life skills, entrepreneurship development, phone, and laptop repairs.
She added that the beneficiaries were drawn from Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States and the training was successful.
Yuwadi advised the beneficiaries to keep learning and put the skills acquired to practice and not to dump or sell the tools given to them.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Emmanuel Samuel, a participant from Borno State thanked the federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari for the training.
He said that the training has impacted their lives positively and pledged to make judicious use of the tools given to them.
