It was a ninety (90) minutes of quality time for defending champions, France, as they beat Poland 3-1 to advance to the Quarter Finals at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Oliver Giroud started off on goals for the French team just one minute before referee signalled the end of the first half. The goal came in after Kylain Mbappé located Giroud who was unmarked by the Polish defender and the former Chelsea player wasted no time to put the ball over keeper, Szczesny who was already heading to the ground when the ball bounced over him and rolled to the back of the net.
The Blues continued with their individual skills keeping possession on the pitch for over 30 minutes and knowing that a goal lead is not enough until Mbappé made it two after a superb strike from about 18 meters yard into the roof of the net in the 74th minute.
The rather reserved Didier D Schamps boys responded with another goal from Mbappé who got a slide pass Thuram and the Paris Saint-Germain striker who takes a touch out of his feet smashed the ball into the top-right corner with his right foot to make it 3-0 in the 91st minute.
Poland got a consolation goal via a penalty and Robert Lewandowski made it one for his country.
France’s 3-1 victory over the Polish team keeps them in wait for the outcome between England and Senegal later in the day.
