Former Bauchi guber aspirant congratulates Prof. Bogoro for winning leadership award

A one-time Bauchi State Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Sani Al’ameen Muhammed has congratulated Professor Suleiman Bogoro for winning the Nigerian Prize for Leadership (NPL) award.
Al’ameen who congratulated Bogoro in a press statement he signed and distributed to journalists in Bauchi State said that the award was given to the former Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) by the NPL headed by Professor Anya o Anya, the Chairman Governing board and Professor Jerry Ghana Vice- Chairman Governing Board and Chairman Prize presentation ceremony.
The investiture ceremony of Professor Bogoro as the NPL Prize winner and conferment of fellows which took place in Abuja is the latest new feat that recognizes the contributions of Professor Bogoro towards the development of the country.
Sani Al’ameen said that the honours are being conferred on citizens who make exceptional contributions to the service of their country, adding that Professor Bogoro deserves the honour because of the selfless services he rendered to the country.
He noted that Professor Bogoro introduced and encouraged research and development, stressing that the successes and achievements recorded by Professor Bogoro are unprecedented which made him perceive that such rare and exceptional personalities need not be replaced so suddenly.
”It is an unarguable discussion that TETFUND has been revived, reactivated and made functional under Professor Bogoro who has brought a new lease of life to tertiary Institutions across the length and breadth of Nigeria”.
“His ingenuity and high records of academia, he has injected and brought new ideas and innovations that are of international standard which has so far increased the nation’s tertiary institutions to compete with their counterparts around the world.
”Professor Bogoro established the titan of renowned academics under the leadership of Professor Gadzama which formed part of the reasons behind the world-class infrastructural development in the nation’s tertiary institutions apart from producing a number of academic reforms to meet the current world challenges.
“Professor Bogoro’s interventions in the area of Educational Research has given an opportunity to all and sundry to spring up to the peak of academic without regard to the status and background of the researchers. He has renewed and simplified methods of research development, making an easy ride and easily accessible with an emphasis on merits and performance”, he said.
Al’ameen said that Professor Bogoro through TETFUND sponsored many results-oriented and highly practical research by investing in the training and retraining of Academic Staff in Universities and other tertiary institutions of higher learning in Nigeria, adding that both local and foreign training got the necessary attention under Bogoro’s watch because of their importance in reviving dwindling Education Sector.
”It is important to note that, almost all the current infrastructures of Nigerian Universities and other tertiary institutions are few among many to mention Professor Bogoro’s legacies as an Executive Secretary of TETFUND.
“This Infrastructural development ranges from road networks, halls of high capacity, construction and furnishing of new faculties, departments offices and laboratories to support local research and innovations, libraries and many more”, Al’ameen said.
