PVC Collection: Yobe youths embark on community sensitisation

Youths in Yobe State have embarked on a community sensitisation exercise to facilitate the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) by registered voters before the 29 January 2022, dateline.

The sensitisation exercise was conducted in Damaturu and was organised by the Yobe State #VoteReady Champion of the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative with support from LEAP Africa, under the Nigerian Youth Futures Fund, funded by MacArthur and Ford Foundation.

The campaign which was tagged: #VoteReady, aimed to mobilise citizens, especially youths to actively participate in the 2023 general elections.

The exercises which took place at the Damaturu Sunday Market encouraged people in the grassroots communities to obtain their PVCs before the collection dateline of Sunday, 29th January 2022.

Part of the activities lineup for the #VoteReady Champion sensitisation is the stakeholders’ engagement segment that seeks to ensure that every member of the society gets involved in achieving the #NigeriaWeWant through the 2023 general elections.
