Jorginho completes Arsenal move from Chelsea

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Jorginho from Chelsea for a reported fee of £12m.
The Gunners announced the deal on their website on Tuesday night before the close of the January transfer window.
Jorginho signed an 18-month contract with the option of another year to pitch his tent with Arsenal.

The 31-year-old revealed that Arteta’s influence was vital in his decision to swap Chelsea for Arsenal.
“I know he tried a few times to get me before and it didn’t happen due to other reasons, not because of my wishes.
“I just can’t wait to be on the pitch, to be honest. Everything has happened so fast.
“It’s an important shirt. It’s an amazing club, a big one, and I’m excited and happy to be here.
“I’ll try to just bring positive energy, hard work, and my experience to help the team. It’s what I always bring with me,” he said.
Arteta also expressed his delight to have the Italian midfielder on board at the Emirates Stadium.
“Jorginho is a midfield player who has intelligence, deep leadership skills, and a huge amount of Premier League and international experience,” said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
“He has won in his career, but still has the hunger and huge willingness to contribute here.
“We are so pleased to sign Jorginho and welcome him and his family to the club.”
Jorginho was a vital part of the Chelsea squad that won the Europa League, Champions League, and the Club World Cup after joining from Napoli in 2018.
He is expected to make his Arsenal debut against Everton on Sunday in the Premier League.
