Liverpool’s quest for top four on the English Premier League table was frustrated after they lost to Brentford 3-1 at the Community Stadium on Monday night.
The Bees took an early lead against Liverpool after Ibrahima Konate caused an own goal in the 19th minute.

Yoane Wissa doubled the lead for Brentford to make it 2-0 just three minutes before half-time.
It was a bad night for the Jurgen Klopp’s boys after their goal was ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the 48th minute.
The Reds felt some relief after Oxlade Chamberlain found back of the net two minutes later to make it 2-1.
Liverpool’s quest for a draw was frustrated after Bryan Mbeumo scored in the 84th minute to make it 3-1 seeing the Bees two points behind their visitors on the log.
They are currently sixth with 28 points while Brentford are seventh with 26 points.
