A building at the popular Balogun Market in the Lagos Island District in Lagos area in the state has been gutted by fire on Thursday morning.

It is yet unknown what could have caused the fire however in a video sent to Neptune Prime, flames of fire and smoke were emanating from affected building which is a three-storey building in the area.

Officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) were said to be on ground however, no statement has been issued by the agency.
