Banky W of PDP loses to Labour Party in Eti-Osa House of Reps seat

Nigerian musician turn politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has lost the Eti-Osa House of Representatives seat.

Banky W who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday, lost to Labour Party (LP) candidate, Achief Atta.
Banky W polled 18,668, Atta polled 24,075 while the All Progressives Congress (APC) had 16,901.
Meanwhile, in the remaining Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state – Ojo and Alimosho, Peter Obi claimed victory for the presidential election.
Alimosho LGA, Lagos APC: 62,909, PDP: 8,201, LP: 71,327.
Ojo LGA, Lagos APC: 20,603, PDP: 3,701, LP: 38,859.
